The most visited tepui is Roraima. It is a mystical place that resonates with every fiber of your being. Its energy is so powerful that it is said to hide portals to other dimensions and is frequently visited by beings from other planets.

Whether you believe in these stories or not, its landscapes will amaze you with their incredible beauty. The sensation of walking on a floating island in the sky, rising above a sea of clouds, is an experience you can only have here. Add to that the vast savanna views, breathtaking sunsets with vivid colors, and stunningly starry nights to complete the experience.

TRANSFER – From Caracas to the Gran Sabana (2 DAYS)

On the first day, you will depart Caracas early in the morning to travel by road to Ciudad Bolívar (Standard Package). You can also choose to fly from Maiquetía to Puerto Ordaz (Premium Package). In both cases, the next day the journey continues by road to Kumarakapai in the Gran Sabana, where we will rest and prepare for the start of the trek.

DAY 1 – Paraitepuy to Río Tök

We will use a 4x4 vehicle to go from Kumarakapai to Paraitepuy. After checking in at INPARQUES, the hike begins (12.4 km or approximately 6 hours) around midday. We will arrive at Campamento Río Tök in the late afternoon. You’ll have the opportunity to bathe in the river and enjoy views of Roraima and Kukenan.

DAY 2 – Río Tök to Base Camp

We will hike to Base Camp (7.6 km or approximately 6 hours). We will cross the Tök and Kukenan rivers, taking care not to slip on the rocks. Midway, we will stop at the Military Camp to rest. Continuing on, we will reach Base Camp in the mid-afternoon, where we can relax in the shadow of the imposing Roraima.

DAY 3 – Base Camp to The Summit

This is the day of the ascent via “La Rampa,” from Base Camp to the Summit (4 km or approximately 5 hours). Midway, at one of the viewpoints, we will stop for lunch. We will reach the summit in the mid-afternoon and go to our assigned hotel (cave) to rest and recover energy.

DAY 4 – Hike to Triple Point and La Fosa

We will hike from the hotel to the Triple Point (approximately 20 km this day; the hike depends on the tourist’s physical condition and weather). Along the way, we will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes atop the tepui. On the return, the more adventurous can enter La Fosa. We will arrive back at the hotel in the late afternoon.

DAY 5 – La Ventana and Los Jacuzzis

This day is a shorter hike to Valle de los Cuarzos, Los Jacuzzis, Campo de Golf, and La Ventana. In the afternoon, we will go to Maverick, the highest point of the tepui and the Gran Sabana, to watch the sunset.

DAY 6 – Base Camp to Río Tök

Early in the morning, we begin the descent to Base Camp. After a short rest, we continue to Río Tök, arriving in the late afternoon.

DAY 7 – Río Tök to Paraitepuy

We will hike from Río Tök to Paraitepuy. From there, we take transportation back to Kumarakapai, concluding the trek. The rest of the afternoon and evening can be spent exploring the town and interacting with the locals.

TRANSFER – From the Gran Sabana to Caracas (2 DAYS)

Departing from the Gran Sabana at dawn, we travel to Puerto Ordaz or Ciudad Bolívar (depending on whether you travel by road or plane). The next day, the journey continues to Caracas, marking the end of this unforgettable trip.

Note: The itinerary may be modified according to weather conditions that could endanger the tourists. Decisions will be made by the designated Pemon guide.

Will we visit Angel Falls?

NO. These are two completely different tours. Although both tepuis are located within Canaima National Park, they are at opposite ends and very far from each other.

What is the best season to travel to Roraima?

We offer departures from mid-August to mid-May, when the weather is drier and more stable. Between June and July, we recommend not visiting the tepui due to the rainy season.

What level of physical fitness is required?

You don’t need to be an elite athlete. Regular physical activity is sufficient. We recommend starting a mountain training routine at least a couple of months before the trip, especially if you don’t usually exercise.

Can minors participate?

Yes, but under the responsibility of their parents, who must supervise them at all times. Keep in mind that there will be hiking and camping for 7 days and 6 nights, so it’s ideal that the child is accustomed to these activities. We recommend participation from children aged 10 and up due to the route’s difficulty, though this is not a strict limitation. Final decisions depend on the guardians’ judgment.

What is the menu like?

Meals are prepared by experienced cooks and are mainly traditional Venezuelan cuisine. Our advisors can provide detailed menus upon request. If you have a special diet (e.g., vegan/vegetarian), please indicate this when making your reservation. An additional fee for special meals may apply.

• Mountain backpack. Do not carry more than 10 kg for women and 15 kg for men.

• Sleeping bag rated 10ºC or lower and sleeping pad (if you don’t have or prefer not to use your own, we can provide these).

• Insect repellent and sunscreen.

• Synthetic fiber clothing (quick-dry) such as Lycra, Dri-FIT, or polyester.

• Warm jacket and pajamas made of heat-retaining fabric (cotton, fleece).

• For cold weather, use fleece accessories such as gloves, socks, and buffs.

• Windbreaker, jackets, and/or rain gear for protection against rain.

• Swimsuit.

• Trail food: chocolate, cookies, energy bars, snacks, candies, nuts.

• Quick-dry towel.

• Ziploc-type bags to protect electronic equipment.

• Plastic bags to organize luggage inside the backpack and protect it from rain and humidity.

• Comfortable trekking shoes. Also bring sandals or Crocs.

• Flashlight, cameras, power banks.

• Personal medications (pain relievers, muscle relaxants, medical treatments, etc.)

• Water container, such as a canteen.

• Trekking poles if desired.

• Toilet paper, eco-friendly soap or blue soap. Do not bring shampoo or conditioner.

• Small daypack or fanny pack.

• Carry cash, preferably in small denominations.
