In the ancient lands of Canaima rise the imposing tepuis. According to the worldview of the Kamarakoto indigenous people, these remarkable mountains are the homes of their ancestors and protective spirits.

The largest of them all is Auyantepui (Devil’s Mountain). It is so majestic that its cliffs extend beyond the horizon. Simply gazing at it makes every fiber of your being tremble. This mountain holds countless mysteries, from sightings of mystical beings to myths of giants petrified within its walls.

The world’s tallest waterfall (Kerepakupai Vená or Angel Falls) is located here and is possibly the most famous site in all of Venezuela. Reaching it will be an incredible adventure. You’ll walk across the savannah, navigate the Carrao River, explore Canaima Lagoon and its stunning waterfalls, admire the tepuis, interact with the indigenous people, and listen to their traditional songs.

DAY 1 – From Maiquetía to Canaima Lagoon

The flight from Maiquetía to Canaima takes approximately one hour. Upon landing, we will be welcomed and guided to our camp. After lunch, we will take a curiara boat ride on Canaima Lagoon, visiting the waterfalls El Hacha, Wadaimö, Golondrina, Ucaima, and El Sapo.

DAY 2 – Navigation along the Carrao River

This day will be dedicated to navigating the Carrao and Churún rivers to reach our camp on Isla Ratón, in front of Angel Falls. The trip takes approximately six hours, with some short walks across the savannah. Along the way, we will stop at Isla La Orquídea, enjoy breathtaking landscapes, and observe the local wildlife. We will sleep in hammocks with views of the world’s tallest waterfall.

DAY 3 – Angel Falls

We will take a walk through a gallery forest for about an hour, reaching our destination: the Angel Falls viewpoint. You can swim in its waters and enjoy the incredible view. Afterwards, we will begin our return to Canaima Lagoon, celebrating the unforgettable experience.

DAY 4 – Kurawaimö Tepuy / Light plane or helicopter overflight / Full day to Kavak Caves

This day is for enjoying any of the additional activities available in Canaima. You can choose to visit Kurawaimö Tepuy, take a light plane overflight of Angel Falls, a helicopter ride over the top of Auyantepuy, or a full day tour to the Kavak Caves. In the late afternoon, we will visit the indigenous fair to experience exhibitions of the Kamarakoto Pemon culture.

DAY 5 – From Canaima to Caracas

After breakfast, we will head to the airport to await our flight. Upon arriving in Maiquetía, this incredible journey comes to an end.

Note: The itinerary may be modified due to weather conditions that could endanger the tourists. All decisions will be made by the designated Pemon guide.

Will Roraima Tepuy be visited?

NO. These are two completely different tours. Although both tepuis are located in Canaima National Park, they are at opposite ends, far from each other.

What is the best season to travel to Canaima?

If you travel between June and November, you will likely see Canaima’s landscapes with abundant water at their peak. From January to May, the dry season drastically reduces river flow, diminishing the scenery and making navigation more difficult.

What level of physical fitness is required?

This trip involves some hiking, but the walks are short and easy. If you lead a sedentary lifestyle, we recommend starting a training routine at least a couple of months before the trip.

Can minors participate?

Yes, but under the responsibility of their parents, who must supervise them at all times.

What is the menu like?

Meals are prepared by experienced cooks and are mainly traditional Venezuelan dishes; however, the menu changes frequently depending on the availability of ingredients. If you have a special diet (e.g., vegan/vegetarian), you must indicate this when making your reservation. Additional charges for special meals may apply.
